Photographing a mom to be is very rewarding. Whether it’s the first child or fourth, it’s still as special as the first for the client being photographed. It is special to be able to capture the beauty of the motherhood in images. It’s considered a bonus if the other children and partner are also included. As simple as it sounds, I prefer to photograph my pregnant clients within the last few months of their pregnancy. Of course you want the baby bump to show in full effect! I offer consultations on attire and props for maternity sessions and request sample images of what my clients are looking for in advance of the session. Also, it is important to remind the photographer of whether the session will be conducted solo, with other children, partners, etc. This can change the layout and types of images that will be taken.
